This section is for students, teachers, therapists and trainers who are entering
a KHYF training program for the first time.
Note:
If you have trained with the KHYF or a KHYF trained teacher already, and are applying
for a higher course, then please choose the PLA process first and become a member
of the KHYF. Then choose the “Apply for Higher Course Option” to update your KHYF.
Membership Procedure
Step 1: When you choose this option, you will
be required to fill out a registration form. Fill this form clearly and make sure
you choose the right course, and the right trainer and mentor.
Step 2: On submitting this information, you will
given a temporary Id to access the KHYF Website. At the same time, your information
will be sent to your mentor for approval*. On approval from the mentor, the information
will be sent to the trainer* for approval. When both the mentor and trainer have
approved your membership, you will be sent an email requesting you to pay the registration
fee (US$ 25).
This approval process and payment of registration fee must be completed within two
weeks of getting your temporary Id. So it is suggested that you gently remind your
mentor/trainer that you have submitted your membership to the KHYF.
Step 3: Once your registration fee has been received
and approved by the KHYF, you will be emailed the permanent ID of the KHYF. At this
stage you will be required to login with permanent details and update some personal
and public details.
Step 4: You will be able to access the KHYF site
by logging in and access all material that are approved for your access level. You
will be listed as an in-training student in the KHYF registry.
Step 5: When your course components have been
completed by your trainer, and you have successfully completed the requirements
for your course, your trainer will approve you for certification.
Step 6: On receiving and approval of your certification
fee, your KHYF ID will be updated to indicate that you are a certified KHYF teacher/trainer
and you will be listed on the KHYF’s online registry. At the same time your certificate
and welcome letter will be sent to your mailing address provided by you.
* Mentor/Trainer Approval:
When you apply for a new course, you will be assigned or allowed to choose a mentor
of your choice. Your trainer will let you know who is the mentor in your acceptance
letter, and your mentor will also be intimated about the same.
When you submit your details for approval, your mentor will verify if you are indeed
under his/her mentorship, and will approve or reject your application based on the
accuracy of the information.
Then your details will be sent to approval from your trainer. The trainer will check
if you have indeed chosen the right batch of your training, and make sure you are
registered to participate in his/her training. If all your details are correct,
the trainer will approve your membership and you will get an email requesting you
to proceed with payment of the KHYF registration fee. If your details are inaccurate
or incorrect, the trainer may reject your application and request you to re-apply
(if you have submitted details incorrectly) or may give reasons for rejection of
your application.
